James Mock, Ed.S.
Director of Orchestras
With over 20 years of experience teaching music, Mr. Mock has taught and consulted with music programs in Alabama, South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, and Georgia. His music programs have constantly earned excellent and superior ratings and have been recognized by some of the best known music educators for their professionalism and commitment to the arts. Under his direction, each program maintained a 95% or better retention rate and maintained a growth rate each year of 50% or better. His programs have performed at Music for All events, Bands of America, and Disney World in Orlando.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Instrumental Music from the University of North Alabama, a Master of Education in Secondary Education and an Educational Specialist degree in K-12 Leadership from Grand Canyon University, School Administration Certification from Xavier University, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Music Education program at Liberty University.
Mr. Mock holds perfessional membership with the American String Teachers Association, Georgia Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education, National Educators Association, and Georgia Educators Association.
